One year ago, Erin and Cody said their vows to each other in a backyard ceremony with their immediate family. They became husband and wife under a tree their loved ones decorated just minutes before the ceremony began. As they promised their lives to each other, it started drizzling. It was so special.
Despite the chilly temperature and their limited guest list, Erin and Cody established a covenant with God to be faithful to one another for the rest of their lives. Covid-19 shut everything down, put jobs on hold, cancelled events, and brought unexpected grief and loss. Still, there were glimmers of hope, life, and sacrificial, unconditional, love. Erin and Cody’s wedding day was a beautiful celebration of those good things.
The story didn’t end there, though. The Hufstetler’s had the celebration they dreamed up at their original venue this month. Erin and Cody were able to celebrate their already established marriage with the people the love at Water’s Edge Vineyard. Though it was an entire year later, the joy of their marriage was only magnified. Scroll down to see some of the special moments of their “I do” re-do!
Erin & Cody – You have been so patient, and your full celebration was worth the wait! So fun, so sweet, and so, SO full of love! Congratulations all over again, Hufstetlers! – Love, Kate
