What a perfect day!! We were lucky to have an unseasonably warm November afternoon for Emily and Daniel’s engagement session at the Cleveland Museum of Art. The sun was shining, the leaves were dancing on the trees around us, and we had Wade Lagoon almost completely to ourselves. It was like Cleveland was just ours for this session. The city felt ready to celebrate this right along with us.
Emily and Daniel came in from Chicago for their E-session. Because they live out of state, this was the first time we met. It was so fun to get to know them face-to-face. While we moved from one location to the next, we talked about their love of Maine, their work, and their plans for Thanksgiving. The afternoon was fun and effortless. They didn’t feel like strangers. They felt like friends we hadn’t seen in a while.
And let me tell you, photographing them was just as easy. Several times I just stopped to enjoy their natural interactions from behind the camera. I love the photos where their big smiles just take over. You can really see the joy in both Emily and Daniel’s eyes when they’re snuggled up together. It’s like they light up. So sweet!
Emily & Daniel- We’re so happy the internet brought us together. It’s been a joy to get to know you so far and hear about your wedding plans. Your celebration at the Country Club in Pepper Pike is just 5 short months away. Thank you for trusting us to capture all the lovely, happy, special moments of your first day as husband and wife! Niko and I can hardly wait! – Kate
