We rose with the sun for Hannah and Mitchell’s morning engagement session in September. Their vision for their E-session was cozy and comfortable, two of my favorite “C” words. Another great “C” word is cute, and this session is loaded with it. Cooper, their puppy, came along for some portraits and elevated the cuteness even more.

We began this session at a park near Lake Erie. It was a beautifully quiet, but chilly morning. One of the benefits of morning sessions is it’s so easy to really connect when the world is calm and quiet. Hannah and Mitchell dressed in comfy sweaters which added to the cozy vibe they wanted.

After the park we headed to one of my favorite E-session portrait locations to date. It’s a gorgeous little coffee shop on Detroit Avenue called Foyer Coffee. Full of natural light, funky art pieces, and the prettiest color scheme, Foyer is a real gem. And what’s more cozy than sitting together at a little cafe sipping on coffee and chatting? These portraits feel like they were taken on real date, because it was. Though I did a little directing to get some great shots, Hannah and Mitchell spent most of the time enjoying the company of each other. I was able to document them just as they were during this stop.
