Inspiration for the Modern Boho Bride
When my friend and fellow photographer, Amanda, asked to create a styled shoot with her, I was immediately on board. During this season, weddings are sparse so its fun to stretch your creative muscles and step into a new sort of challenge: styling. This shoot was a great opportunity to design a new wedding look. We designed two, but this blog post is Part 1 – The Modern Boho Bride.
There aren’t many brides who choose to get married in the months before Spring brings warmth back to the world. I get it. It’s cold and sometimes dreary, but it can still be beautiful. The transition from Winter to Spring was such fun inspiration in the design of this look. I wanted to mimic that transition from Winter to Spring, because I love the anticipation of Spring just around the corner. The snow is melting, the birds start chirping, and the world begins to wake up after a long period of hibernation.
This bridal inspiration was the breath of fresh air we all long for as winter is ending. I really love the bright spring flowers. The pops of purple, pink, and orange add life to the otherwise minimal color palette. I also love the drama of the tall thin cake. My favorite part, though, might be the statement hat by Lack of Colour. It invites a sense of whimsy and adventure to the entire look.
